A few years ago I would probably spend 45 minutes to almost an hour on my makeup and you must be thinking 'damn that's a LOT of time' and sure it was but now I spend a little less only because I'm using fewer products that pretty much have the same end result, that or I'm rushing for work or uni. But that is not to say I don't love spending 1 hour + getting ready for weddings and days out when I actually want to spend a little time on myself. So here's my quick little 'slap on a few products with a brush' and face the day look. 

When it comes to moisturising I always reach for an oil first whether it's Bio-oil or Vitamin 'e' oil as much as you hear 'oh you shouldn't use oil because you have oily skin bs' use what works for you & you only! I then follow up with my one & only Nivea creme and then any spot treatment I am using, I'll rotate between this salicylic acid from the Ordinary or the La Roche Posay effaclar Duo+ or even a little aloe vera gel. 

This heatwave has also pushed me to minimise my makeup routine to the point where I'll just be wearing powder for my base but if I want a little more coverage then I'll use a little concealer. As it's summer and we Brits want to milk the 'bronzed goddess' or the 'I've been on holiday' look as much as we can I sweep a little bronzer across my cheeks, temples & the bridge of my nose. I've also been crushing over this pink-gold blush from Kiko along with a generous amount of highlighter. 

I can never not curl my lashes just because curling my lashes is my equivalent to wearing mascara, I do not wear mascara or any eye-makeup daily only because of the amount of effort it takes to remove it. However, if I do want a longer & more defined lashes then I'll reach for this Kiko long-eyes mascara, trust me 1 coat and you're good! 

+ Natural Potions Toning Mist 

You guys know I live for my Rosewater facial spray and to find something similar to that, that makes my skin feel good is always praiseworthy. The only thing I disliked about this product is the spray nozzle because occasionally it sprays in clumps instead of a fine spray but overall it's a great product. 

With the Easter Holidays creeping around the corner and exams being no less than 2 months a way, I think it's safe to say that I need to start revision properly instead of starting new shows. I've rounded up my favourites for this month and yes I am well aware of the fact that we're only a week in to April but I couldn't contain my excitement for this post because of the photos. 

+ Technic Contour Palette 

When I first ordered this I didn't have very high expectations considering how inexpensive it was but after using a few times and getting the hang of it, it has quickly become one of my favourites. I apply it on my face with a brush and then blend it in with a beauty blender, it's high coverage but still blendable. 

+ H&M Buckled Boots 

After 'umm-ing' and 'aaah-ing' over whether or not I needed a new pair of boots, I purchased these off H&M, they're black, suede & pointed. Could I ask for more? And to top it off they were on sale! 

+ Gold Disc Necklace 

Gold necklaces for me are quickly making a comeback and I have not stopped wearing this one. It's minimal but still adds a little something to your outfit and I personally love layering gold jewellery whether it be rings, necklaces or bracelets. 

As much as I love going super-glam with my makeup on most days time is my worst enemy especially on college mornings and that's where this 5 minute makeup routine comes into place. Depending on how well my skin is doing I'll switch it up with the base products, I love keeping my skin feeling fresh and light. 

After I've moisturised obviously, I cannot stress the importance of moisturiser before doing your makeup it makes the biggest difference, I'll squeeze out a pea size amount of this Garnier BB cream in 'light' and blend it out with either a concealer brush or my B. beauty blender. You can set this powder if you want but I like dewy-ness of it by itself. 

Now to bring a little colour back onto my face I'll just grab a huge fluffy brush and just go in with this blusher from the Sleek Contour Kit in 'Light'. To finish off the face I'll just pop a little highlight on my cheekbones, tip of my nose and cupids bow. 

You guys already know my love for Clear Brow gel, I just take some of this and brush my brows through until I get them combed in an upwards direction. The only thing I do to my eyes is curl my lashes, no mascara and no eyeliner simply because it's such a chore removing it all.
