Yet another long awaited Saturday spent walking endlessly around the streets of London. We spent the morning in Dishoom for breakfast again and then headed straight for Westfield. Just outside was our lunch reservation at Meat&Co for 1pm, despite the 45 minute wait for our food the whole dining experience was incredible, the ribs were to die for! As it started to get dark we headed for Harrods to capture the true essence of what London is like during the Christmas Season. We then hurried for our booking at Sky Gardens just to get a glimpse of what London looks like 36 floors up surround by gorgeous greenery. It was a shame that it started pouring it down towards the end because it meant that Winter Wonderland was cut short.
I can't stress how important it is to take care of your skin, especially during the colder months where your skin has the tendency to become a little dehydrated. I did a similar blog post last year on skincare products I simply cannot live without during winter but this time I've focused mainly on the face and have switched up the products I use.
+ The BodyShop Vitamin E Overnight Serum In-Oil
Yes I know that this is an overnight oil, but I love using this on my face before moisturiser and before makeup just to really hydrate my skin. Personally I find this too thick for an overnight serum but it works wonders.
+ Nivea Creme & The BodyShop Vitamin E moisturiser
I switch it up depending on how I'm feeling on a particular morning, the Nivea creme is a lot more thicker and ideal for dry skin. The BodyShop one is a lot more lighter and more mousse-like so when I'm having a good skin day I like reaching for this one.
+ La Roche Posay Sensitive Cream & Eye cream & Vaseline
I recently got these samples through the post and was a little baffled at first simply because the instructions were in French. Once I had Google translated them I started using them, I use a small amount of the Sensitive cream on any red areas and then the eye cream under my eyes. I then use a little Vaseline on my lips.
+ Rose water facial spray
This is probably my favourite bit of my skin care routine which is drenching my face in Rose water, it's just so refreshing! It also makes my makeup look super dewy when I spray a little after doing my makeup.
As soon as November and December fly past, the countdown to exams begins! Well for me anyway. This past college year has been incredibly fast-paced and in all honesty I wouldn't want it to be any different, I just want to skip forward to the summer holidays again. Aside from that here's my monthly favourites for November.
+ New Look Cotton Shirt
This shirt has been my go-to whether I wear it on its own or layered with pieces on top. I especially love wearing it with blue denim jeans and a nice coat or jacket. The shirt is super comfortable as it's made out of cotton and is pinstriped all the way down.
+ Gold Crystal Statement Necklace
I recently hauled this piece, this necklace is so gorgeous and I have not stopped wearing it. It brings that extra bit of glam to a basic outfit, I've also worn it with a few Indian dresses because it's just so versatile!
+ River Island Beige Knitted Snood
Before purchasing this snood I was never one to wear scarves around my neck but this year it's been all about the scarves & accessories. What really drew me to this snood in particular is its thick knit, I love the chunky knit look especially in the winter time where all you want to do is simply cosy up.
+ Avon Mocha Latte Palette
This palette has definitely seen its better days I mean I've already hit pan on two of the shades. Its the matte colours I really like wearing on my eyelids just for that neutral brown smokey eye kind of look.
That's my favourites for this month guys, I have lots more blog posts planned for December and hopefully a few festive DIY's along with the usual outfit posts. So stay put!
Another outfit post? Well, now that it has gotten a lot colder this month with the temperature dropping to almost 3 degrees I think it is safe to pull out the cable knits & coats. To be frank if you're living in Britain like me then the winter wardrobe was pulled out last month to save our freezing rears. Apart from that here's how I styled the custom sweatshirt from Zidouri clothing, a brand that's 'all the rage' right now and well-known for their personalised garments.
Here I paired the black sweatshirt in a medium size with my all-time favourite ripped boyfriend jeans. I know you're probably thinking 'does she not own any other jeans?', truth be told I (obviously) do but I simply am not done obsessing with these jeans OK. The customised sweatshirt from Zidouri clothing is so unbelievably warm and comfortable but also really good quality especially when it comes to having your name printed on it. I just wore a grey chiffon scarf that always fails to cooperate, along with my heeled boots from New Look and then of course my black faux leather tote bag from H&M.
This is a super comfy yet chic outfit for those days where you want to make a little effort but still feel cosy af. I just want to give a huge shoutout and 'thank you' to Zidouri Clothing for kindly collaborating with me. I love supporting innovative brands who really capture the essence of fashion today along with putting their own modern twist on things.
Disclaimer: I am not being sponsored or paid to say this, these products were kindly sent to me in collaboration for reviewing purposes.
Starting out as a blogger, YouTuber or just a social influencer in general we all have those fantasies of attending our first IMATs or Beautycon, events you always hear people talk about but have never experienced one as of yet. Personally I would love to go to an event as a blogger and take a look at what the buzz is all about. So I've put together a little list of things I'd want to do in preparation for an event.
1) Prepare in advance
Don't leave things to the last minute! Make sure you have things like your outfit and makeup look planned the night before. The last thing you want to be doing is frantically running around trying to the find that top that may or may not have disappeared.
2) Relax . . .
Being stressed is not a good look, so take time out for yourself whether it be binge watching a TV series or pampering yourself silly with face masks. I love using face masks on my skin before an event, they just leave your skin feeling so refreshed and hydrated.
3) Plan ahead
Make sure you have a plan of what you're doing that day and by that I mean where you going? What part of the event you are interested in most? And at what time are you exactly doing that? This will help you keep on track of things and make sure you're using your time efficiently.
4) Be confident
This is my last tip and if there's anything you take away from this post then let it be this. Walk in to that room with a smile on your face and with confidence because girl you own it! Confidence is key in occasions like this, just go up to someone and introduce yourself, I find the best conversation starters are compliments everyone loves a compliment.
I hope you guys enjoyed this blogpost, it's a little different to the ones I usually do, but being different is cool. Check out Eventbrite's conference management page for all your event-planning needs!
It's finally getting colder! Cold enough to wear coats without sweating profusely throughout the day (bit of an overstatement? maybe but we all know it's true). I live for fall fashion, I love layering clothes whether it be as simple as a shirt under a jumper or more boxy and lengthier pieces. This Autumn has been all about the boyfriend jeans for me especially the shredded ones pair it with a nice shirt & a good pair of boots and you're good to go!
DETAILS . . .
Nude Satin shirt: River Island
Boyfriend Jeans: Blue Inc
Black Coat: H&M
Buckled Boots: Forever 21
Faux Leather Tote bag: H&M
I'm pretty sure I've ever only done 2 hauls on my blog since launching it about a year ago so here's another one. I recently placed a few orders on Amazon and there's nothing more I'd rather spend my money on than makeup and food obviously. I was pleasantly surprised with how pigmented and great all these products were considering the price. I mainly bought from brands that are a little difficult to get your hands on in the drugstore thus giving me an opportunity to try them all and let you know what I think.
+ Technic Cream Contour Kit
After seeing such great reviews on Amazon itself I knew I had to buy this, this has 8 shades and so you're bound to find a contour & highlight shade that matches your skin tone. The pigmentation is unreal and they're all really creamy making it easy to blend.
+ W7 Automatic eyeliner
Now I had some difficulties in actually purchasing this eyeliner and that was largely the seller's fault, I originally wanted this but in the felt tip liquid eyeliner version but instead I was sent this. I did get a refund but was allowed to keep the eyeliner and I could not be more glad, this glides really nicely on to the waterline and is ideal for your upper lashline.
+ Focallure Glitter eyeshadow Palette
Note to self: Always check the size of the product before purchasing! On receiving this I was a little surprised by how small this palette was but I also thought to myself when have I ever finished an entire eyeshadow palette? I mainly wanted this for the glitter shades but it also comes with 3 matte shades. These shadows are not chalky whatsoever and the glitter shades are really pigmented, it comes with a brush and a mirror, I mean what more could you possibly want?
+ Technic 'Get Gorgeous' Highlighter
From seeing so many people rave about this I had to give it a try. Personally for me this is too much of a pink highlight, I like my highlighters dripped in gold but the colour payoff is really good and you can't really complain for the price.
+ Crystal Statement Necklace
I thought I would just include this considering I had purchased this on the same day as the other bits. This is unbelievably stunning I mean just look at how beautiful it is. I thought this would be nice just to spice a rather plain outfit.

I have not done a DIY in what feels like the longest time but truth be told I haven't really been inspired to create or make anything but this tassel pillow cover has been on my to do list ever since I laid my eyes on similar ones from Zara & H&M home. This is probably one of the more simpler DIY's perfect for everyone (even those who claim they can't make or do anything creative, we all know we've heard that excuse before).
For this DIY you will need the following:
+Different Coloured Threads
+A needle
+A Pair of Scissors
+PVA glue or fabric glue
+A Pillow case
The first step is to simply bunch up your thread using your fingers, all you have to do is grab one end and wrap it around your four fingers until you are happy with the amount. You will need to repeat this for all the colours of your chosen thread along with the number of tassels you would like, I chose to do 12. The more times you wrap the thread around your fingers and the greater loops you create the fuller your tassel will be at then end, keep that in mind!
You then need to select one of your coloured threads again to create the loops for your tassels, simply pinch the tops and wrap the thread around the top a few dozen times just to secure it and then repeat this will all your tassels.
We're almost done, simply snip the ends of the loops to create the tassels. They may look messy but don't worry we'll be fixing that later, the most important thing right now is to make sure they actually look somewhat like tassels and not loose pieces of string.
Time to neaten things up a bit! Trim the ends of the tassels just so they are all of a similar length and here's where the PVA/ fabric glue comes in to hand. The glue is to stick the loose ends together at the top where we made the loops with the separate pieces of string.
All you gotta do now is position your tassels on your pillow case, I made 12 so there would be 4 down each side but you can space them however you like. Last but not least grab your needle and feed some thread through so you can stitch the tassels on to your pillow case, alternatively you can use glue but stitching it on is a lot more secure.
And you're done!
How is it already half term? In all honesty I'm not even sure how to answer that question myself, but seriously like where did September go? Aside from us being only 2 months away until we descend in to yet another year here's my October favourites. This month has definitely been more about the clothes & the pazazz rather than the makeup, so expect more lookbooks, more wardrobe staples and a whole lot more of me this fall season. Also can I just complain about how inconsistent the weather has recently been, like I'm longing for those days where I can walk around in my detective coat wrapped warm in my blanket scarf.
+ Distressed Denim Jeans
I was an avid lover of the boyfriend jeans last year, you know just a clean cut pair of light wash denim jeans but this year I've been digging the whole ripped jeans thing too. My go-to outfit with these jeans is wearing my River Island nude shirt tucked with a pair of Forever 21 black boots.
+ Forever 21 Buckled Boots
Spending your summer endlessly searching the internet for a pair of black boots in a size 3 is more difficult than you think. After seeing these on the Forever 21 website I seized the opportunity and bought them despite the fact that I had to wait for them to be delivered from the Netherlands. These black boots go with everything and I honestly mean it, the low heel makes it ideal for everyday walking around in.
+ Blanket scarves
Kudos to whoever made this a fashion item, thank you for making it appropriate for us to go out in society wrapped in blankets larger than ourselves! This scarf is the cosiest thing ever and it doubles as a nice cushion you know for them 5 minute naps in class (I'm kidding don't ever fall asleep during classes). You can find similar ones in Zara I know they do a great deal in all sorts of patterns and prints.
I always forget to spray myself before rushing out the door for college and so this gem has been nesting in my bag for a quick little spritz throughout the day. This is a very heavy musky sort of scent and so I always like bringing it out during the colder months it just seems more appropriate for the winter atmosphere.
+ Zara Gold rings
I always am a sucker for dainty gold jewellery or any jewellery to be frank it's always been my way of accessorising my outfit and adding a little something to it. These rings from Zara are a great addition alongside my real gold ring, they add an element of playfulness but can still look really elegant when worn right.
That's all from me for this month in terms of favourites, I can't wait to bombard you with all my planned posts for this fall season so stay put!
When was the last time I did an outfit related post you ask? Chances are it was a century ago. With coursework deadlines right around the corner along with tying loose ends of my UCAS application for University it's fair to say that college has gotten the better of me.
Here's my outfit details, I paired this white knitted jumper with a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans. It's great for those days where it's cold enough for a jumper but not enough to layer with coats & jackets. To accessorise this oh-so-basic look I wore my New Look patent loafers with a grey chiffon scarf and this faux leather black tote bag from H&M.
