I feel like October only started last week yet here we are nearly at the end of the month and I have nothing to show for blog-wise. University started again, I mean we are only 3 weeks in and I feel like I'm 3 months behind already, is that possible? Nothing spectacular happened this month but I did go watch Venom and that was good. I've also started and finished My Wife and Kids which is hilarious and I 100% recommend, I don't know if this is just me or does anyone just not have enough time to watch all the shows they used to watch/ catch up on hours on end? I've also been trying to minimise and refine my wardrobe for this Autumn / Winter. This post is just all over the place, a little like me throughout this month but hey that's life! I also just wanted to share these artsy photos I took on my S9 of my candle dripping because why not? I hope November is more organised and bountiful.
I turned 18 last Sunday as some of you may know from my 'Birthday outfit' post. I thought I would do a little haul of the wonderful things I got on my birthday, as I do each year. I've grouped everything in to categories so I can just give you an overview as opposed to going through each and every item. Let's go!
+ Makeup
If only you saw my reaction when opening the Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette then you would already know how ecstatic I was. I can't wait to try out the MUA Luxe highlighting palette as well as the 'I heart' makeup palette, I mean just look at those shades which by the way are incredibly pigmented.
+ the 'Cliche' 18 presents
Is it really your 18th birthday if you didn't get something with the number 18 on it, whether it be a card, balloons or a badge? The champagne flute is so pretty and the bear is adorable.
+ Homeware
I'm a sucker for home decor especially when it all looks so damn cute, how talented is my best friend for painting this canvas for me? It has my name on it but because of the exposure you can't see it. I love the 'love' wooden sign because you can hang it up pretty much anywhere and the blue dish is great for storing my excessive jewellery.
+ Miscellaneous
I adore this makeup bag with the letter 'S' with the gold polka dots and it's a great size for when you want to carry a little more than just your go-to lipstick. How handy are these map printed notebooks from Sass & Belle?
+ Shoes
I'm pretty sure my cousins wanted me to 'break a leg' quite literally in these killer platform heels nonetheless they're so gorgeous but oh so painful. I'm not one to wear platform heels, I'm more of a stiletto heel kinda gal.
+ Jewellery
I adore the colour of the statement necklace and how shiny the little drop pendent necklace is, but most of all I adore the thought and effort that went into making the owl keyring and the wings necklace ( no not chicken wings, actual wings) from my best friend.
Some of you may have noticed that I've been posting a LOT more content on my blog recently mainly because I have more ideas & inspiration which I want to share with you guys. I aim to do a minimum of four blog posts a month but don't hold it against me if I fail to do this because unfortunately I DO still have to go to college and stay on top of my work.
Enough of the rambling now let's get on to what I actually wanted to share with you guys and that is a handful of things I have been loving this week. I initially planned on taking pictures with a rose with a full head of petals but they ended up falling off so I had to make do but I think it turned out better than I originally planned.
First thing is the 'La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo+' now this is a sample size if you couldn't tell by how tiny and cute it is. This targets oily and blemish prone skin and it reduces redness and any marks left by spots. It makes a huge difference and makes me want to buy the full size! I usually apply this in between my daily moisturiser and my make up.

I've already talked about how much I love burning this Myrrh scented candles from Marks & Spencer's in my Candles, Coins & Cold weather blog post. The musky smell of Myrrh and Cinnamon really gets you in to that fall feeling!
The next thing is this gorgeous china blue floral notebook. This is so pretty I almost don't even want to write it in (I'm only joking). The pages in here are made from pressed fibres which adds that nostalgic touch to it. It's nice and compact making it handy dandy to just throw in your bag.
Last but not least is magazines now I know I mentioned this in my last months miscellaneous must haves but magazines make great coffee table reads. They're great from getting inspiration from and hearing about new product launches for both fashion and beauty so why wouldn't you want to be up to date with all the latest stuff?
I hope you guys enjoyed this weekly round up of the few things I've been particularly liking this month! Comment down below your loves for this past week or month.

It's getting colder and colder each day alas we can say summer is over! It's time to pull out your knits and start burning Myrrh scented candles. This is my Autumn edit featuring my seasonal picks for this October.
Some may think October is way too early to start pulling out your knitwear but if you experienced the weather in England you wouldn't think twice! I've been cosy-ing up this past month with my knitted jumpers.
Now I'm someone who hates the idea of carrying around a wallet with a dozen zips and compartments. I prefer smaller more compact wallets as they're a whole lot easier to carry around. The white faux leather wallet is from H&M and it has a zip opening ideal for cards, receipts and notes. For my coins I like carrying this adorable owl coin purse which was a kind gift from my friend (thanks Zainab).
I have a serious candle addiction especially when it comes to scented candles. This is such a cute little tin candle from Marks & Spencer's. The candle is Frankincense and Myrrh scented, it smells like Autumn in a candle. I like placing my candle in to this gorgeous gold glass candle holder (which if you're wondering I purchased it at duty free).
Something else I have really enjoyed doing in my spare time this past month is illustrations. I pretty much draw anything from fashion magazines it's good to test you artistic flairs once in a while.
I haven't stopped painting my nails nude after finding the perfect nude nail varnish . This nail varnish is from Collection and it's in the shade 'Almost Nude 10', it has a super high shine finish which I adore (please excuse my oddly posing hand).
